I´ve been impressed by micing a snare drum from above with a shotgun mic. What it does is getting that -close micing from far away feel- that I like.
Since I have a need for a shotgun mic not only in music recording but also voice recordings in future documentaries, I'm thinking of getting a decent shottie. ;)

The new website is finally launched!!
There are some things to work out and all of the info is not ready. The Tools-page is updated with what I´ve got. I´m currently working on the Besides The Music-page. There will be photos of me, the "studio" and other things in the future.
As some of you might know, I ditched the name/website DALACHRISER in May 2011. The reason is that I´m changing my last name.
The name ThumpTone was originally intended to be the name of the album I'm currently writing material for. But I liked the name to much..... and here we are ;)
